Rubber granules and powders can be obtained from used tyres through a grinding and sifting process. The latter, mixed or not with synthetic polymers, can be used to make moulded objects such as wheels for freight wagons and waste containers, mats for covering sports hall and playground areas, various parts for the automotive industry (flexible steering wheels, mats, brake linings), armchair arms, sills, noise barriers, road signs, roofing materials, camping equipment (duvets, mattresses, roof and floor).
